To view webcasts from desktop computers, we recommend using a web browser with Adobe Flash 11+ installed. To view webcasts on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod) we recommend using Safari and the most recent version of iOS.

If you are using Windows, you can use Internet Explorer 7+ (Internet Explorer 8+ recommended), Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. If you are using Mac OS X, we recommend Safari, Chrome, or Firefox. All users should upgrade to the most current version of their browser. Earlier versions may work, but we can't guarantee results.

Your event will either be played in an embedded Flash Player (desktop computers) or HTML5 player (iOS devices). Most modern browsers have both Flash installed but it's important to check before your event. If you do not have Flash installed or you would like to install the latest version, download and install Flash.

Yes. You should have no problem viewing the event as long as you have Flash installed in your browser.

Netpoint Webcasts and Stream+ events have been optimized to run on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod). Additionally, you may watch on a mobile device that supports Flash.

Your connection speed has been calculated by our system test and is measured in kilobytes per second, or kB/s. The speed of your connection will affect the quality of the webcast that you can watch. In general, a higher number - that is, a faster connection - is better. If you have a slower speed connection, you may be limited to audio-only webcasts. If your speed is below 1 kB/s, you will probably not be able to receive any streaming content. If your speed is below 3 kB/s, you might only hear the webcast, with no video. If your speed is 10 kB/s or more, you will see and hear the best video and audio anywhere on the web.

If you are accessing the Internet with a high-speed connection (such as DSL or T1) from your office, your connection speed could be reduced because you are sharing your connection among several computers. So, if there are 10 people in your office, you may be connecting at only one-tenth of your full speed.

The most important is that you check your speaker setup and internal audio level setup. The best way to do this is to play an audio or video file that has sound that you know works. On mobile devices, make sure your device audio is turned up and not muted. If you are still having problems, refresh the player window. This will reconnect you to the broadcast and usually solves the problem. If you are still having problems you will want to check your browser settings, what you are looking for is to verify that you enable streaming media, as well as having JavaScript enabled. If you are still unable to connect, you will need to check your firewall to make sure that it enables streaming media. You can test your system for sound simply by trying the sample audio webcast under system test.

In some cases, you will not be able to see or hear any of the webcasts on our site. Often, this is caused by your network configuration. See also firewalls, below.

First, make sure you see all green lights using our system test. Second, make sure you have javascript enabled. Third, check if you are receiving incoming streaming audio. Slide change commands are embedded in the audio stream so if you can hear the presentation, the slides will follow.

Our streaming video is designed to pass through firewalls on port 80. On all firewalls, this is a normal open port for http traffic. However, it is possible to block port 80 traffic and to even block streaming traffic. If you are not receiving our streaming video, please check with your IT department. Keep in mind that some corporate environments block the ability to receive streaming audio or video, so it is important to check with your IT department about your webcasting status prior to the event.
